November 20, 2025 – A seminar on "World Literature and the Construction of an Independent Knowledge System for Area Studies with Chinese Characteristics" and the launch ceremony of the book series Oceania Literary Studies from a Multicultural Perspective were held at the Xuhui Campus of Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU). 
 

Clarivate Analytics recently released its 2025 “Highly Cited Researchers” list, with Professor Li Chengchen from the School of Foreign Languages at Shanghai Jiao Tong University selected in the Social Sciences category.  

The 6th annual conference of the Comparative Literature and Cross-Cultural Studies Branch (CLCCSB) of the Chinese Society for Foreign Literature, along with the 4th Chief Editor\Dean Forum, was held at Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) from October 24 to 26. 

Shanghai Jiao Tong University's Institute of Regional and Country Studies hosted the 2025 China-Oceania High-Quality Cooperation Development Forum, where experts discussed collaborative research and the development of a knowledge system in the fields of science and humanities related to Oceania.
